Emily Hiscox- Director


As founder and director of Bamboo PR, Emily is the overall PR manager for every client account, with personal involvement in areas of strategic direction, client consultancy, planning, writing, proofing, and top tier media relations.

Emily also proof-reads every document that is communicated to the press and oversees press list development, pitching strategy, research and media relations, regularly consulting with the team to ensure every task is completed for maximum press coverage results.

Emily has many years of experience in all kinds of media relations and writing styles, from her time at Bamboo and in her previous job roles at Spark Communications, where she left in 2002 as business development manager and client director for a variety of clients that were predominantly in the IT industry.

Nicola Davies – Director

Nicola joined the Bamboo PR team as Account Manager in March 2009. With over nine years’ PR and Marketing agency experience Nicola has worked extensively across IT and telecoms, in both b2c and b2b sectors. After managing a variety of global clients over the years, Nicola has built up a huge network of press contacts internationally, particularly in Europe and the USA.

Nicola works closely with all of Bamboo’s clients, providing strategic direction and project management, and is actively involved on a day-to-day basis.

As well as core PR activities and media relations, Nicola enjoys working across internal communications, copy writing, re-branding, event management and new business development.

Nicola previously spent five years at Grappa PR and Marketing, leaving there to spend a year living in Philadelphia, USA.

 


 

Marco Fiori – Account Executive

Fresh out of university with a 2.1 in English Literature, Marco joined Bamboo PR in October 2009 and brings an array of skills to the team.

While studying for his degree at the University of Portsmouth, Marco set up and maintained Avid Gamer - a popular online gaming portal. More recently, you can find him writing for the leading UK consumer technology magazine, PC Zone.

Thanks to his 2 years freelance writing experience, Marco provides a unique dimension to Bamboo. Having experienced the journalistic side of the industry, he brings that understanding to Bamboo's media relations. Fluent in modern methods of PR - social networking, web content, blogging - he offers support to the whole Bamboo team.
